High Performance Drivers Education

The High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) provides drivers with an opportunity to learn new skills and techniques under the instruction of certified and highly experienced high performance driving instructors. These events are not racing events, but opportunities for students to learn through classroom instruction and hands on driving instruction under strict race track conditions on some of the most renowned race tracks in the world. Though students will normally be driving at higher than normal driving speeds, a strong emphasis is placed on safety. It’s here on the track that students will learn the fundamentals and terminology used to improve driver discipline to include, how to properly enter and exit the track; understanding passing zones, understanding the functions of corner workers and the flags used; the use of hand-signals and an understanding of emergency procedures.

There’s so much to learn, but it’s also great fun. In the end, students not only walk away with a better understanding of the capabilities of their vehicle, but of themselves and how they are able to cope in applying the techniques necessary to improve their skills while building confidence to become a better, safer driver.
