These wheels are featured on the 1965 Cobra 427 S/C (Shelby Licensed Superformance). Shown here are the 15” Halibrand Replica Pin Drive, Aluminum Wheels with Forged Aluminum Knock Off Spinners. As you can see, the spinners on these wheels include Safety Wire, which according to owner Jim Smith is there as a precaution to keep the tire in place just in case those spinners decide to come loose. Perhaps an after-thought, but one could only imagine how many drivers were lost as a result of tires that went airborne from not having this simply remedy in place.
