Spotlight – “Katherine Sophie”

I’m Katherine. I’ve never thought of a car as anything more than a necessity. My only thoughts when purchasing my last vehicle were how much the payment would be and the cost to fill the tank. In the time between purchasing my last car to buying my Honda CRV, my career had really begun to take off and I had a sense of direction, a sense of what I wanted. I had an increased self-worth. Although this car still checked off my original boxes of low mpg and a responsible purchase price, it was the luxurious features that drew me in. Leather interior with wood grain accents, sunroof, assisted cruise control, heated and power seats, lane assist, Apple car play; all the extras I would have viewed as frivolous in the past. I now knew I deserved those extras. This purchase for me was very much a milestone in my life. It was the moment in my mind that I had achieved not only a financial goal, but a personal one of self-worth.

About me

I am a single mother to an incredible daughter and have worked long and hard to build my career. Starting out as a part-time teller at the age of 17, I pushed every boundary and accepted every challenge. Almost 15 years later, I’m an assistant vice president and manage our ATM network with over 800 terminals in 17 states and 14 million in assets. Traveling comes with the job, but it is also my passion. I am doing what I can to instill that curiosity and sense of wonder and wanderlust into my daughter and she seems to be falling in love with it as I did.
