2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S
2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S
This is the 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S (997). Following the previous evolution of the 996 series, Porsche designated this model the “997” which was manufactured between 2005 and 2012. Shown here in “Seal Grey Metallic” with a chocolate brown interior, this 2005 911 S, owned by Rick Hartbrodt, is propelled by a liquid cooled 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine that produces 355hp and 295 pound-feet (400Nm) of torque. It has a six-speed manual transmission, variable-ratio rack-and-pinion steering, Porsche Active Suspension Management and a Sport Chrono Package Plus to record laps times. Its wider track accentuates the cars’ waistline while giving it a more powerful look. It has a Sport Exhaust and optional Victor Equipment 19-inch “Innsbruck” polished wheels and, though red calipers come standard on the 2005 model, Rick chose to personalize his calipers by painting them yellow to compliment the Seal Grey Metallic exterior color of the car. Rick has been a member of PCA’s Thorobred Region since 1971. Special thanks to Rick Hartbrodt of Highland, NC for participating in this shoot. Motorsportraits™… “turning obsession into art”.
